Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday campaigned in Uttar Pradesh Chief Ministers’ home turf Gorakhpur, appealing to voters to vote for Congress candidate Madhusudan Tripathi.
In his speech, Baghel came down heavily on both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and alleged that the duo were responsible for the lack of development in the Gorakhpur constituency.
Speaking on this occasion, Baghel said “the people of Gorakhpur are suffering a great loss due to the pair of Modi and Yogi”.
He then went on to add that NYAY (justice), would be done as the Congress would form the next government at the Centre. The NYAY is the acronym for the Congress’s latest welfare scheme Nyuntam Aay Yojana.
He appealed the local voters to make Congress candidate Madhusudan victorious and send him to parliament for all round development of the region.
Baghel is in a whirlwind tour of Uttar Pradesh and other neighbouring states. He has addressed a series of public meetings particularly in Amethi, Rai Bareli and Barabanki constituencies from where Congress President Rahul Gandhi, UPA Chairman Sonia Gandhi and Tanuj Punia, son of Congress party’s Chhattisgarh in-charge P.L. Punia are in fray respectively.
