The potters of the city learned about the various different techniques and forms used in pottery across the globe.
Renowned ceramic artist Vinay Sapre is making the budding artists learn about different forms. The ceramic workshop is being organised by Sarjana Academy of Design and Fine Arts wherein the aspiring ceramists are learning the aspects of ceramic art.
Vinay Sapre is one of the renowned ceramic artists of the city. For her it’s just not a hobby, but a way to keep calm and relax. Under his guidance the students are exploring different forms of ceramic or pottery making.
As many as 17 participants are learnung to create abstract art.
They are learning about the baking technique, wheel work, clay making and firing techniques too. The participants are also taught about the colouring and polishing effects given after the work is complete.
As the potters of the city are exploring their talents using their best skills, they also learned about a pottery making in a unique and traditional way during the discussion with Vinay Sapre.
While talking about the workshop a Sunil Shukla of Srajana Academy said, “It is a spell binding experience for all learning and learned city potters as they are exploring the different forms in pottery. We all got to learn a lot.” On commenting over the technique he said, “The presentation and other necessary procedures are very important and Vinay is teaching them all.”
