Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo on Thursday unveiled a booklet containing strategic plan for eliminating tuberculosis (TB) by 2013. The target year set by the Chhattisgarh government is two years ahead of the Centre.
The strategic plan for a TB free Chhattisgarh would be achieved by commitment, contribution and coordination of various state government departments, Singhdeo said in a programme held at Raipur Medical College Auditorium.
State government would also take assistance of doctors of private hospitals in the mission to eliminate TB. Facilities of free testing of the decease will be made available in private hospitals also.
The treatment would be done under Ayushman Bharat, Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana, and ‘Poshan Aahar’ schemes.
