CII Madhya Pradesh organised a Buyer-Seller and Startup Connect in Bhopal on Wednesday. Anchor industries such as Bharat Forge Ltd., Hindustan Copper Ltd., GAIL and VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. made presentation on their requirements and procurement process.

Abhishek Gupta, Chairman, CII Bhopal Zonal council welcomed the delegates and briefed them about the holistic approach adopted by CII towards developing the SME’s in the state. Buyer-Seller and Startup connect is an important initiative in the direction for connecting MSME and Startup’s to large industries. The event shall help the participating industries in enhancing business relations and understand sourcing requirements of OEM’s.

V.C Dubey, Nodal Officer, SI Cell also addressed the gathering and briefed them about State Government’s Vendor Development Programme and benefits of registering on the portal.

He insisted on creating individual profile on the portal and use of optimum keywords in product description. He further urged the local industries to develop an Angel Network for startups in the city in the lines of Angel Network in metro’s and other Tier-I cities.

Event also showcased B2B Meeting wherein investors from different background met the startup’s to understand the feasibility of the project with an aim to invest in long run.

Offering business linkages between OEM’s and suppliers, the meet provided a single unique platform to enhance business relations with heavy weights of Indian Inc. and understand their sourcing requirements. Meet received an overwhelming response from supplier industries across the state.
