Students, faculty members and others visited the first day of the two day Book fair organised by the central library of Doon University on Friday.
The fair was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university, C S Nautiyal.
In the Book Fair, 43 publishers are taking part.
Speaking on the occasion, the VC said that the habit of reading is waning among the students these days due to which their capacity analytical thinking is getting affected. He added that the fair would help the students.
The chief librarian of the university, Ashish Kumar said that the objective of the fair is to make students aware about books of different subjects.
The finance officer of University D C Lohani, Dean Student Welfare (DSW) H C Purohit and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
