BJP is connecting to grassroot voters by adopting various ways. The party rolled out as many as a dozen specially mounted campaign vehicles as a run up for the Lok Sabha polls in Jamshedpur slated on May 12.
The vehicles were kicked off from the party's central election office in Sakchi with lotus cut-outs and having pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as its Jamshedpur MP nominee Bidyut Baran Mahto, who is trying his luck for the second consecutive term.
Slogans like 'Jan jan ka yahi pukaar, Abki Bar Phir Modi sarkar' (Everyone wants to see the Modi government coming to power again) were printed on flex signboards to strike a chord with the masses.
The vehicles flagged off by BJP district president Dinesh Kumar in the presence of other party leaders would go around rural and urban areas of Jamshedpur constituency ahead of Lok Sabha polls.
Equipped with loudspeakers, the vehicle also blared out slogans in favour of the party’s Jamshedpur candidate — Bidyut to Kamal Chhap Par Button Dabakar Vijay Banaye.
BJP’s district spokesperson Anil Modi said 12- such flags would visit various Assembly constituencies under Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.
BJP has also rolled out to take out ‘Digital Rath’ in all assembly segments. With huge LED screens mounted on an air-conditioned van, the digital chariots will be used to show video clips on achievements of the Narendra Modi government, various schemes it has launched in five years of its governance in the country .
Despite sweltering temperature across the district, candidates vying for Lok Sabha were willing to spend much of their campaigning part at rural belt today. Armed with beverages to beat the heat, candidates were seen sweating to attract the voters.
“The Jamshedpur Lok Sabha is quite complicated. Though the urban voters are present in large numbers however, it is the villagers who are the deciding factor. The party, which is able to grab the maximum votes who be the winner,” said a senior BJP leader.
The Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency has 15,51,297 voters and 1,626 booths . Jamshedpur will go for votes on May 12 to decide the fate of 24 candidates in fray. Presently, Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency comprises the following six Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments Baharagora Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West.
