The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday condemned the statement of Chhattisgarh Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu over the agitation of candidates of police constable recruitment test.
The home minister reportedly stated that the candidates were agitating because they “have no other work to do.”
The candidates were agitating demanding declaration of examination result.
BJP state spokesperson Sachchidanand Upasane in a statement pointed out that even after months of conducting the recruitment examination, the government could not declare the results. Instead of taking positive steps to announce the result, home minister was ridiculing the unemployed youth, which was tantamount to showing disrespect to youth looking for jobs.
Upasane further said that within six months of formation of the Congress government, the insecurity among the people had increased. The ministers did not have control over their words, he alleged.
Instead of finding solution to problem raised by common man, the ministers were giving reckless statements.
BJP demanded that the result of recruitment test should be announced immediately.
