The BJP on Sunday alleged that the BJD has hatched a conspiracy to suppress the Kalahandi district’s Junagarh gang-rape case as its leaders are involved in it.
“Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra and BJD Kalahandi district president Prabhod Rath have influenced the police to suppress the case on the phone call from the main accused, Lalindra Shabar. However, police arrested Shabar only after the victim named him. The police are now trying to close the case,” alleged BJP State secretary Lekhasri Samantsinghar.Samantsinghar demanded that the Chief Minister intervene and provide justice to the victim. She too demanded police provide security to the survivor soon.
