Baleswar HM axed after 30 years of job

Cracking whips on fake teachers, the district education  authorities axed a headmaster  of a upper primary school.

The suspended teacher is Ratnakar Giri of Balukeswar UP school in Ekatali village under Jaleswar education district.

Giri has allegedly forged his certificates and secured job of teacher 30 years back.

An RTI seeker came to know that Giri who submitted his  intermediate pass (IA) exam  during his appointment was a forged one.

Social activist Nani Gopal Das had sought information from the Utkal University  regarding the  result status of Giri   with his roll number who claimed  to have cleared IA in 1981. The verification showed  that  he was failed.

After obtaining  the information, Das while brought the matter to the notice of Block Education Officer, an inquiry was made  against Giri.

After verifying  the veracity of the allegation  by the BEO, he was terminated  from service.

It may be noted earlier Giri was suspended after being caught the villagers on the allegation  of selling mid day meal rice and  irregularities.
