Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik), on Saturday, made formal announcement of Babulal Marandi and Pradeep Kumar Yadav contesting from Koderma and Godda Lok Sabha constituency seats, respectively.
Addressing a press meet JVM-P General Secretary Bandhu Tirkey formally announced that the party will contest the election as a part of the Grand Alliance, along with the Congress Party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
“According to the seat sharing agreement Congress will contest from 7 seats, JMM will contest from 4 seats and JVM-P will contest from two seats including Koderma and Godda out of the total 14 Lok Sabha seats in the State. RJD will contest from one seat, Palamu. Babulal Marandi will contest from Koderma and the party’s General Secretary, Pradip Kumar Yadav will contest from the Godda seats,” Tirkey informed.
The party held its working committee meeting on Saturday in the State capital to chalk out strategy to ensure victory of the party’s candidates and also the Grand Alliance candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.
The meeting was chaired by Marandi himself. Addressing the media after the meeting Tirkey said that the party called the working committee meeting to energize the party workers and ensure defeat of BJP candidates and victory of the Grand Alliance include two candidates of the party, which is part of the alliance.
“A large number of party workers from across the state attended the meeting including all district presidents, block presidents and presidents of various wings of the party to discuss the future strategy. The party Supremo gave them instructions on how to constitute booth level committees. He stressed on the fact that booth level committees should be strong enough to ensure victory of the alliance candidates,” he said.
Elaborating the party’s future strategy, Tirkey said that the party has also nominated a coordinator for each parliamentary seat. “The coordinator has been assigned the duty to co-ordinate with the candidates from their respective areas and work accordingly,” he added.
