Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau today arrested a head clerk of Jaridih block of Bokaro district while he was accepting a bribe worth Rs 14,000 from the Director of GK Hospital under Jaridih Police Station area of this district. The arrested person has been identified as nazir cum Head clerk, Kumar Gautam, who was posted in the Jaridih block of land conservation department.
A complaint against the staff was registered by one Dinesh Kumar Singh. The man in his complaint before the Dhanbad Bureau of the ACB had said that he was being pressurised for a bribe for clearing his pending payment in lieu of a land measurement which was executed by the contractor. The arrested person had demanded a bribe of Rs 14,000, which Kumar he agreed to pay him.
As per the deal, he was going to give him of Rs 14,000 when ACB arrested the duo. Later, the ACB team also conducted a search in the room from where head cleark was arrested. From that spot Rs 14,000 in cash was recovered.
