While no FIR has been lodged so far by the Patanjali group regarding food poisoning case of Acharya Balkrishna about a week ago, his well wishers have continued to visit him at Kripalubagh Ashram in Kankhal. On Friday morning, Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad (ABAP) president Mahant Narendra Giri met Balkrishna.
After his meeting with Yoga guru Swami Ramdev’s aide Balkrishna, Giri said, “Acharya Balkrishna was unwell few days ago, so we came to ask about his well-being. Now he is in good health. We pray to Lord Hanuman to give him a long life.”
When asked to comment on the allegations imposed by a girl student of a college of former union minister Swami Chinmayanand, the ABAP head said that it was a common thing these days to blackmail ascetics by making allegations against them.
On Kashmir issue, Narendra Giri said that scrapping of Article 370 and 35A by PM Modi had freed Kashmir and would pave its way to progress. He also opined that the Congress was acting in an anti-national manner.
He also said that Pakistan’s minister who was announcing plans for full blown war with India must understand that the country which itself is on the verge of starvation was not fit to wage war against a mighty nation like India. He advised, “Pakistan must come out of its poverty and then think of fighting.”
