As many as 849 polling parties have been deployed across Garhwa district for polling in Garhwa and Bhawnathpur Assembly segments of Palamu Parliamentary constituency on Saturday.
The Polling parties – 347 in Garhwa and 502 in Bhawnathpur—carrying EVMs and VVPATs left for the respective polling stations under the supervision of District Election Officer Harsh Mangla on Friday.
Earlier in the morning, the polling parties reported at the respective dispatch centres where Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) along with Voters Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) and other election material were made available to them.
Later, accompanied by Security personnel, the presiding Officers and other team members reached their respective polling station to undertake the voting process, which will begin at 7:00am on Saturday.
