A 74-year-old man who was injured after his bike slipped near 74 Bungalow area on December 26, died on Sunday. TT Nagar police have started investigation.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Zahid Ansari, was rushed to Narmada hospital after he was injured. After four days of treatment, he died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at People hospital at Malivya Nagar.
The body was sent for post-mortem after the preliminary investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The deceased had gone to 74 Bungalow area and while he was on his way back home he met accident.
He was taken to Narmada hospital where he was referred to People hospital in Malviya Nagar and later he died on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old girl died on Sunday who consumed poisonous substance to commit suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her house in Prem Nagar under Chola Mandir police station area.
The deceased identified as Archana Baresia died while undergoing treatment at hospital who consumed poisonous substance on December 27.
Police have not found any suicide note which could help in the revealing the reason behind the suicide but it was found that the deceased used to have fights in the family.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC. The statements of the family are yet to be recorded which could help in the investigation.
