A 45-year-old woman was raped by a fruit seller at Idgah Hills under Shahjehanabad police station area on Tuesday.
Police said that the Sagar based victim along with her husband came to the city in search of work three days ago and met the accused who provided shelter and later raped the victim when her husband had gone outside in search for work.
Victim lodged complaint stating that when she was alone at her rented room on Tuesday the accused Neelesh Ahirwar entered the house and raped her.
Police have registered a case under section 450, 376 and 506 of the IPC and started search for the accused who went absconding after the incident.
