A 42-year-old man, who was hit by a speeding car on Sunday night at Katara trisection under Katara police station later in the evening on Tuesday, died while undergoing treatment.
According to the police, an injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The deceased was identified as Budhrao Shivhare and was on his way to home at Asharam Nagar Laharpur after buying vegetables.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 304-A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police found that the car was driven by person who was acquainted with the deceased and took the deceased to hospital where he was died during treatment on Tuesday.
The details of the errant driver would be searched and accused would be nabbed in the investigation.
Meanwhile, an 80-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at his house near Kamani Mandir under Hanumanganj police station area on Tuesday.
Police said that the Kaluram Kushwaha was rushed to hospital after he reported illness and started vomiting around 12 in the night on Tuesday where he died during treatment.
