Chhola Mandir police has nabbed a  37-year-old man from Chola market area and recovered liquor worth Rs 76,000 from his possession; liquor was illegally sold from Snooker club run by the accused.

Acting on a tip off Snooker Club run by Lalla alias Ritesh Pandey was raided by police and in the investigation recovered 8 cartons of liquor worth Rs 76,640 from the club.

Police have arrested the accused and in the initial investigation when the accused was asked regarding the license he failed to provide any documents. The police have registered a case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act and started further investigation.

The youth who came to play game at the club were served the liquor at higher rates.

It would be investigated that the liquor was sold in other areas also and in the nearby areas where there are no liquor shops.

Meanwhile, Chhlola Mandir police have nabbed two vehicle-lifter from Maholi Jod and recovered six two-wheeler worth Rs 3 lakh from his possession on Thursday.

According to the police, acting on a tip off, two youths were detained with a bike without registration number and when they was quizzed, they confessed to have stolen the vehicle. The nabbed accused were identified as Sahil Khan and Danish Khan. In the initial investigation, police have recovered five bike and one scooter.

The details of recovered vehicles would be provided to the respective police station. The police have started search for other accomplices who have helped the accused in stealing and selling the vehicles.
