On Thursday late night a 32 year old boutique owner was shot in the head causing her death at her home in Dharmpur. Her husband also was shot in the midriff and is presently out of danger while undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

 He has alleged that three people came and shot both of them at about 12 AM, however the deceased woman’s family suspects involvement of her in-laws as well. The investigation in the case is ongoing.

The deceased woman has been identified as Kamna Rohilla and the injured husband is Ashok Rohilla. According to Nitin Rohilla who called the police after the shooting, his brother Ashok Rohilla called him at midnight and said that Rinku is at home. Rinku is the son of Ashok Rohilla’s aunt. Hearing this, Nitin and his mother reached their residence where they found that Kamna had been shot dead while Ashok was sitting on the floor with his three year old daughter. He also had a gun-shot wound and was bleeding profusely. Brother of deceased Kamna Rohilla has filed a case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Ashok Rohilla told local police that around midnight when they were planning to sleep, Rinku along with two of his accomplices came to their residence.  Rinku asked Ashok to bring some water for which Ashok went to the kitchen. According to Ashok Rohilla, during that time one of his accomplices went inside and shot Kamna Rohilla. When Ashok came out of kitchen they shot him too. Ashok and Kamna Rohilla used to run a boutique and were under a large debt. According to local police, Ashok Rohilla is native of Meerut while Kamna Rohilla’s family lives in Khurbura. Accused Rinku is also known as Ajay Verma, a resident of Shastrinagar who had earlier spent time in jail in a murder case registered at Dalanwala police station. Police have recovered one bullet and two empty shells from the crime scene.
