The 25-metre Standard Air Pistol Junior and Senior and 50-metre Pre Pistol Junior and Senior men's games were played under the 63rd National Shooting Championship Competition.
The championship is being played at Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy. The winners were awarded medals by Special DG Sanjay Rana. Joint Director Sports Vinod Pradhan presented the sapling as a memento to the Chief Guest Sanjay Rana.
Joint Director BS Yadav, NRAI Secretary Shri Nimit Chapra, Assistant Director OP Harod, Shipra Srivastava were present on the occasion.
Gaurav Rana of Air Force won the gold medal by scoring 555 points in the 50m Free Priestal Junior Boys Individual event. Punjab's Arjun Singh was second with 548-11 points and Nikhil Chandila of Haryana was third with 548-9 points.
In the team competition, Punjab finished first with 1630 points, Haryana with 1599 points and Uttar Pradesh with 1595 points stood third.
In the competition, BSF's Sib Kumar Ghosh finished first in the 50m pistol men's individual event with 556 points, Gaurav Rana of Air Force with 555 points and Jitu Rai of Army with 554 points. In the team event, Army Marksmanship Unit finished first with 1648 points, Rajasthan with 1638 points and SSB with 1636 points.
Similarly, in the 25m standard pistol men's event, Vijay Veer Sidhu of Chandigarh was first with 580 points, Gurpreet Singh of Army with 578 points and Udayveer Sidhu of Chandigarh was second with 574 points and Haryana was third with 1689 points
