A 23-year-old youth who had sustained burn injuries on April 27 succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital on Sunday. The deceased sustained burn injuries at his house at Lalita Nagar under Kolar police station area.
According to the police, the deceased, Anil Malviya, sustained burn injuries at his house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to Hamidia hospital where he died on Sunday.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries while he tried to increase light in the room by lighting a chimney and later it fell and fire spread in his bed in which the deceased sustained severe injuries.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.The condition of the deceased deteriorated on Saturday and he died late in the night after undergoing treatment for two days.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Housing Board Colony under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased Deepak Dubey was found hanging by his brother Suraj Dubey and when he was taken to hospital he was declared dead. The body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
