Property worth Rs 5 lakh were reduced to ashes when two houses of were gutted in a mysterious fire incident in Kudrum village in Ranka police station of the district, late on Wednesday night.
According to victim Ramlal Sao at around 8: 00 PM, smoke appeared from the back of the house. The fire spread due to strong winds and took another home in its grip. After raising alarm large number of villagers gathered and tried to douse the flames with mud and water. After making a lot of effort to overcome the fire with the efforts of villagers, half of the house was saved from burning.
But the house of two people was completely burnt to ashes. Victim Ramlal Sao lodged a named FIR against four people Pradeep Saw, Pankaj Saw, Hari Saw and Prabha Devi with Ranka police station.
