n Continuing its State-wide drive against middlemen in RTOs and hospitals, police on Sunday nabbed as many as 16 middlemen in eight districts of the State.
While 12 Dalals were arrested from hospitals, four were held from RTOs.
On the day, five middlemen were arrested from hospitals in Cuttack Urban Police District (UPD), two each from Keonjhar and Kalahandi, one each from the hospitals of Nayagarh, Boudh and Mayurbhanj.
Four middlemen were also arrested from the RTOs of Jajpur and Nuapada.
Notably, the daily crackdown is being carried out on the direction of DGP BK Sharma in different hospitals, medical colleges, blood banks, dispensaries and RTOs.
