10 IAS officers to oversee 13 med college hospitals

Aiming to improve overall performance, infrastructure development and functioning of medical colleges and hospitals, the State Government on Wednesday appointed 10 senior IAS officers as coordinating officers of these institutions.

While Additional Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra was appointed as coordinating officer of Sundargarh Medical College Hospital (NTPC) and Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research, Burla, Agriculture Production Commissioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra was given the charge of Fakir Mohan Medical College Hospital, Baleswar and MKCG Medical College Hospital, Brahmapur.

Other IAS officers who were appointed as coordinating officers of different medical college hospitals are:

Government Medical Colleges Hospital, Keonjhar — Raj Kumar Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Steel and Mines.

Jajpur Medical College Hospital — Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary, Forest and Environment.

Angul Medical College Hospital (MCL) — Anu Garg, Principal Secretary, Labour and ESI and Women and Child Development.

Kandhamal Medical College Hospital and Santha Bhim Bhoi Medical College Hospital, Balangir — Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management.

Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College Hospital, Koraput — AKK Meena, Principal Secretary, Finance.

Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College Hospital, Baripada — Surendra Kumar, Principal Secretary, Water Resources.

Government Medical College Hospital, Bhawanipatna — Hemant Sharma, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Industries.

Shree Jagannath Medical College Hospital, Puri — Krishan Kumar, Secretary, Works.
