‘Rural bus service in State soon'

The State government is all set to start the rural bus services soon to connect the interior most villages of Jharkhand with cities through public transport. While conducting a review meeting of the State Transport Department on Saturday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that special attention would be in tribal and backward rural areas while introducing the rural bus services.

"Due to a stable government, the income and earning capacity of people has increased and number of vehicles has increased in the villages," he said during the meeting.

Holding the meeting of Urban Development Department Das said that under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, house entry of 15,000 urban dwellers will be done simultaneously in September. In this, ministers, MPs, legislators will be involved in the programme in their respective areas. Along with this, 34,333 approved new houses will also be included in the entire State.

The CM asked to complete the construction of the inland port on river Ganga in Sahebganj soon. It will be inaugurated in September. The construction of seven ghats that are being constructed there will also be completed by September. They will also be inaugurated. Officials in the meeting told that two of the three drains falling into the Ganga River have been closed. Another drainage will also be closed within 15 days, they said.

Das said asked for special focus on cleanliness of the cities. Special attention should be taken to clean all the main roads, including the railway station, around the airport. These places are frequented by people from outside and if they see filth there experience will be bad about the cities, he added.

In the meeting, the CM said that the inauguration of Atal Vendor Market in Ranchi has been done quite a long time ago. He asked to shift shopkeepers immediately to the market and said that there should not be a market on the road. By spending millions of rupees, the government has also created a vendor market for their convenience.

Das asked officials to accelerate solid waste management in the urban bodies of the State. Expressing dissatisfaction with not being able to start it even after continuous efforts in Ranchi, he instructed to divide the Capital City into four zones and allot work to different companies. It was informed in the meeting that its construction in Deoghar and Giridih has been completed. It will also be inaugurated during the inauguration of the Shravani Mela. Trial is going on in Godda and Chakulia. In other urban bodies, their construction will start soon.
