With a holistic strategy and greater convergence among all stakeholders, Odisha can script a new chapter in the country’s steel and minerals industries, said Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan here on Monday.
He was addressing a meeting with educational institutes Directors, Government Officials and Steel and Mines officers at CSIR - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology here.
Pradhan said, “We should adopt an outcome oriented approach to contribute towards country’s economic growth. Innovation will be a key to create a knowledge-based entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
The Minister said if the indigenous technologies developed by the CSIR-IMMT become commercially viable, then they would bring a great change in the industry in the country.
Directors of CSIR-IMMT, NIT Rourkela, IIT Bhubaneswar, Utkal University Geology Department Professor and officials of State Government and steel industry were present.
