‘Govt fulfilled 90% of 2014 poll promises’

Saturday, 30 November 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which released its manifesto on Wednesday, claimed on Friday that it has fulfilled most of the promises made in its 2014 Assembly election manifesto. The Saffron party claimed that it has fulfilled more than 90 per cent of its electoral promises.

State BJP election co in-charge and Bihar Minister Nand Kishore Yadav said, “An independent agency Lokniti has carried out the survey revealing that Raghubar Das Government has fulfilled 92 per cent of the promises it has made in 2014 Assembly election.” Yadav said that this has been achieved due to stable and strong government in Jharkhand under the leadership of Raghubar Das. The BJP leader said that his party believes in doctrine of Kaho Wahi Joh Kar Sake (Say what which you can easily do) and the party does not believe in making only populism promises.

The Bihar BJP leader, who as part of election campaigning has travelled across the state, claimed that there is a wave in support of BJP which will soon turn to Tsunami as the electioneering in State gains momentum. Launching a scratching attack on Grand Alliance constituents –JMM, Congress and RJD—the BJP leader said that lack of unity is easily visible in the tripartite alliance as their respective election manifestos have several contradictions.

Yadav asked, “If the three parties are so much serious about their alliance then who stopped them from having a common manifesto?” Yadav’s remark assumes significance as all three parties JMM, Congress and RJD have released their separate manifesto, and none of their allies were present at the manifesto release.

The BJP leader said that none of the Grand Alliance constituents talked about wiping out Left Wing Extremism (LWE) menace in State. The BJP leader also said that Congress has no moral right to say anything on corruption as the grand old party (Congress) is mother of all scams and corruption in Country.  “Congress is the party which has committed scam in land water and even space,” said Yadav.  The BJP leader termed the Congress, JMM and RJD of promoting dynastic politics as these parties don’t think beyond a family.

The BJP leader said that JMM has already accepted its defeat in election as its executive president Hemant Soren is contesting election from two constituencies. The JMM executive president Hemant on Friday filled his nomination from Dumka and Barhait both in Santhal Pargana. The BJP leader on the issue of alliance with AJSU party said, “BJP is confident of achieving mission 65 plus, but we will form the government in alliance with AJSU party.”
