Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will hold talks covering the entire gamut of defence ties with the top leadership of Japan and South Korea during his visit to the two countries commencing September 2.
India has expanded defence relations with Japan and South Korea in spheres of security and Defence manufacturing.
As part of his visit to Japan, Singh will co-chair the
Annual Defence Ministerial Dialogue with his counterpart Takeshi Iwaya.
The Ministerial Dialogue will aim to further strengthen India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and include wide-ranging discussions to enhance the bilateral defence and security engagements between the two countries. During his two-day visit (September 2-3) there, he will also call on the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.
In South Korea, the defence minister will have a bilateral dialogue with his counterpart Jeong Kyeong.
He will also call on the Prime Minister Lee Nak-Yon, officials said here on Friday.
A CEO’s Forum followed by a Business-to-Government (B2G) meeting will also be held in Seoul with the participation of members of defence industry from both sides with the aim to encourage India-South Korea Defence Industry co-operation.
Rajnath Singh will return on September 6 after two-day visit to South Korea.
