Mindler, an Edutech start-up, is looking to scale up its presence across India with focus on scientific career guidance, particularly for the 8th through 12th grade students. Mindler is currently providing its services through three verticals — integrated college counseling, online career guidance through its website and trained counselors in remote areas.

Speaking to The Pioneer on proper guidance to the school children, founder of Mindler, Prateek Bhargava said, “In India, there is a massive lack of career counselors, around 93% of schools do not have counselors. Last year, we introduced a three month certification module program to train counselors who have gone build their own operations in tier two and tier three cities. We also organize events in different cities in which teachers, parents and students take part. This year, we are targeting 8 cities and next year 25. That is what we are going to do to scale this up.”

Mindler’s technology-enabled eco-system blends artificial intelligence and machine learning with strategic human interventions to help students and parents choose the best-suited career path.

“Our entire platform is based on machine learning algorithm. It has five-step assessment process, which has an algorithm-driven, semi-automated career planner, tracker, and course correction mechanism. Once students come on our website they are asked to through certain set of profiling. They go through a step by step process where they are evaluated. The complete assessment process happens online. Then finally they get to know the best career option for them”, he added.

Mindler has recently launched the Mindler Partner Platform, a unique online platform that aims to organize and standardize the highly fragmented career counselling space by bringing counsellors across India including tier II and tier III towns under one roof in a bid to systemize the entire sector.  Speaking on this Prateek Bhargava said “The Mindler Partner platform is a key component of our business plan as this allows us to further enhance our scale and is in sync with our vision to become the brain behind career recommendations being generated in the country. We now have live partners working in Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, Gujrat etc. who are giving cutting edge advice/options to students in their regions which they were unable to provide before, using our Partner Platform.”
