After almost 48 hour long searches at the house and other premises of Telangana State Congress working president A Revanth Reddy, the Income Tax department has given him a notice to appear before it on October 3.
During the search operations, which started on Thursday morning and continued till the wee hours of Saturday the IT officials seized several documents and other material including computer hard disc. They also took his wife Geeta to the Banjara Hills branch of the State Bank of India and opened the locker in her presence. 560 grams gold and documents related to some properties were recovered from there. They also raided and searched the houses of Revanth Reddy’s brothers Krishna Reddy, Kondal Reddy and brother in law Jayprakash Reddy. IT department sources claimed that they found evidence of undeclared income of Rs 20 crore in the company of Revanth Reddy’s brother in law.
