The Golden Katar Division of Indian Army celebrated ‘Parakram Parv’ at Ahmedabad Military Station on Saturday. It was part of the ongoing nationwide celebrations to commemorate 2nd anniversary of surgical strikes carried out by Indian Army on terrorist launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir in Sep 2016. As part of the event, the weapon and equipment of Indian Army were displayed to showcase the might of Indian Army to schoolchildren. Indian Army conducted surgical strikes in 2016 which had strategic ramifications and were aimed to dissuade inimical adversary from adopting the path of violence and to ensure an environment of peace for the Nation. To showcase the courage and sacrifice of Armed Forces, ‘Parakram Parv’ is being observed.
