On a tipoff from the nearby villagers, the police here seized a body of an unidentified youth from roadside near Ansupa lake on Sunday night and sent it to the Athagarh sub divisional hospital (SDH) for post mortem.
later, on Monday, the deceased was identified as Sana Bardhan (27), son of Biswanath Bardhan of Jemadeipur village under Tigiria police station limits.
His family members rushed to the Athagarh SDH, identified the body and after postmortem took home for cremation.
In their FIR lodged at the Banki police station, they alleged that Sana was murdered.
Banki police station IIC Biswaranjan Sahoo said that a UD case had been registered and an inquiry was on. As no external injury mark was found, the postmortem report was awaited, police said.
