Taking different slum pockets’ women of the city, a forum named ‘Bhubaneswar Young Urban Women Forum’ was formed here on Tuesday.
The objective of the forum is to ensure safety, security, public services and rights, skill building and promotion of economic sustainability of young urban women. Forum members said it would work for creating a violence-free society.
On the occasion, Chanchala Pradhan was unanimously selected as the president of the forum while Sathi Das was selected as VP, Preeti Nayak as secretary, Subhashree Swain as joint secretary and Dalli Pradhan as treasurer.
