A workshop on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for undergraduate classes was organised at DAV-PG College under the aegis of the Quality Assurance Cell of the biggest college of the State on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, principal of DAV-PG College, Ajay Saxena said that such workshops help the students in solving the problems they face due to new syllabus. He further said that the students can contact the head of the departments or teachers for any issue related with the new syllabus.
The associate professor of Department of English H S Randhawa presented an elaborate account of CBCS on the occasion. He informed the students about skill enhancement, generic core subject and other aspects of subject selection. Subject Expert Rakhi Upadhayaya explained about Modern Indian Language ( MIL) in which Indian languages like Hindi, Telegu, Tamil, Gujarati and Punjabi are included. She also informed about the examination schedule of internal and external examinations in CBCS. In response to a question, she said that generic subject can be chosen by the students in fifth and sixth semesters only.
