If any party which can take the country in path of progress, it is only BJP. This is the party which made a corporator from Kawardha a Chief Minister while a Badnagar tea seller to Prime Minister. The post and respect in this party is not received by greasing, said former Raipur Collector O P Choudhary while talking to the media after his arrival from New Delhi at BJP State headquarters. It was his maiden media briefing as a politician.
Choudhary said, “I had not joined politics with an aim. Only has entered it just to serve the soil and its people. I had come out of the village streets with a dream. With hard work joined IAS and did the best during 13 years career as bureaucrat. What can be better did it all.”
Terming the politics and bureaucracy a different axis, he said that in democracy importance of politics cannot be ignored as bureaucracy has its own limits and one has to work within the framework. He added that he has been influenced by Pandit Deendayal Upadhaya, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, PM Narendra Modi and late Atal Behari Vajpayee.
On accusation of opponents on working for BJP for long time, he said for last 8-9 years had been organising different programmes for education and health camps in native area in memory of father. If one sees that differently, nothing can be done. He said that raising allegations and discussions are part of the unsuccessful person’s life. “Making ‘Prayas’ was my thought process. Nalanda making was my judgment. Making ‘Education City’ was my dream. Anyone speaking on my thought process makes no meaning,” points out
He said whatever responsibility is given by the party would try to fulfil it. Had not came to party with intention for any gain or post but whatever party gives with full dedication would carry out the work.
Earlier on arrival through regular flight from New Delhi to Raipur at Swami Vivekananda Airport, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) accorded warm welcome. He was taken in an open jeep to BJP state headquarters. BJP State president Dharamlal Kaushik said that with arrival of O P Choudhary, BJP would become stronger. His administrative experience would be gainful for the party. He has joined the party of his own, no auction has been done.
