Wild elephants damage 5 houses

A herd of wild elephants has damaged five houses at Jamuniatola and Manpur villages in Upparhgat area in Nawadih block of Bokaro district on  Friday night,villagers said.

The wild elephants entered the two villages at Jamuniatola and Manpur village from West Bengal side, damaged houses of local Budhan Hembram, Fini Ram Manjhi, and Devi Ram Manjhi

at Jamuniatola while next entered at Manpur tola and damaged houses of Mahesh Murmu and

Chandmuni Devi and ate all food grains kept inside the houses.

The victims have been compelled to take shelter at neighbour’s houses.

The neighbours have started initiative to collect food grains and financial support as the financial condition of all families is very poor.

All family members, their houses were found damaged,informed forest department but they couldn’t reach their villages till filling this reports.However they have been spending their sleepless night.
