Time and again, homegrown talents have been making the State proud and represented Jharkhand in a variety of spheres. The present television industry is witnessing the rise of Krishna Bharadwaj, 31 year old Upper Bazaar boy, who is the protagonist in a recent comedy show, Tenali Rama, broadcast on Sony SAB.

Dedicated towards acting, Krishna always wanted his creative side to bloom. He completed his schooling from DAV Nandraj, lalpur and graduation from St. Xavier’s College. Soon after, he relocated to Mumbai to join Roshan Taneja’s Acting School. After completing his course, he was elected to teach at the same institute. At 19, he was teaching an entire batch of aspiring actors.

Before Tenali Rama, he has worked in a superhit Gujarati movie, ‘Chal Man Jeetva Jaiye’, playing the role of Dev. He has also acted in several Hindi shows including Jasuben Jayanti Joshi Ki Joint Family and RK laxman Ki Duniya among others. He drew inspiration from his artistic father, Dr. Aniket Bhardwaj who is also an actor and has worked in several shows for AIR Ranchi. Krishna was inclined towards art since a very tender age and learned Bharatnatyam and Ballad before starting his own dance school in Ranchi.

Krishna believes that hard-work is vital for sustenance in the showbiz. The Ranchi boy exclaimed, “I have continuously followed my dreams and worked hard towards attaining my objectives. I have always been motivated by my family to keep striving towards being a hardcore artist. In doing so, I have understood that there is no shortcut to hard-work and the importance of remaining dedicated. It is very essential for the longevity of one’s career in the show business. People are attracted towards the glamour of the entertainment industry but there goes in a lot of hard-work behind achieving that glamour.”

Fighting to find time for himself, Krishna is packed for the next one year with Tenali Rama post which he will work for the sequel of the Gujarati movie. “Tenali Rama is the biggest project I have got till date and I want to concentrate on it fully for the next one year. Shooting for the sequel of ‘Chal Man Jeetva Jaiye’ is also on my to-do list. Venturing into Bollywood is certainly on my wish list, but, I will work on it only when the appropriate time comes. For now, it’s just Tenali Rama,” added Bharadwaj.

Tenali Rama is a historical comedy show which revolves story of the legendary Telugu poet Tenali Ramakrishna (Krishna Bharadwaj) in Emperor Krishnadevraya's (Manav Gohil) court who uses his timely wit and intelligence to solve even the trickiest problems and becomes very popular in the King’s court. . A total of 211 episodes have been broadcasted.

Krishna’s visits to Ranchi have become limited due to his hectic schedule. He informed that his last visit was 18 months ago and soon plans to visit his hometown which, according to him, taught him to dedicatedly work hard.
