Three wanted accused charged with attempt to murder and having a reward of Rs 5000 on their head were nabbed by Talaiya police on Sunday said SP North Hemant Chouhan while speaking with media person on Monday.
SP Chouhan said that one of the nabbed accused Pappu Chatka alais Haseen Qureshi is a notorious criminal of the Jehangirbad area and have been booked for several crimes in the past.
Jehangirabad police have booked Pappu in more than three dozen cases.
The nabbed accused has been identified as Pappu Chakta alias Haseen Qureshi (27) of Roshanpura, Syed Farooq Ali alias Farooq Station(27) of Nav Bahar Colony and Shahrukh Ali (21) of Roshanpura. All the accused hold criminal record and Pappu leads the gang with the help of criminals of other parts of the area. The gang is engaged in dispute with Maulana’s gang in the past few months which is lead by Zuber Maulana and in the attack fire arms are used said police.
Notably, the victim Farhan Khan of Kamla Park area was attacked by four accused identified as Shahrukh Khan, Farooq Station and two others and opened fire at him at around 2.30 in the night on April 26, 2018. A case of attempt to murder was registered by Talaiya police.
After the attack several places were raided but Pappu continued absconding and after two months of intensive search three accused were nabbed by Talaiya police on Sunday. A reward of Rs 5000 was declared on each of the accused, after he was not tracked by police.
