Swine Flu cause of Magan lal Shah's death

The death of Tharali MlA Magan lal Shah was caused by Swine Flu ( H1 N1) . The report of swab sample of the BJP leader who died on February 25 which arrived on Monday evening from National Centre of Disease Control (NCDC), New Delhi clearly mentioned that the BJP leader was suffering from swine flu. Confirming it the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr Y S Thapliyal told The Pioneer that the Himalayan Hospital had sent the swab sample of Shah on February 23 and the report received on Monday mentions that he was suffering from swine flu.  He added that the family members and those who were in contact with Shah are being provided with Tamiflu medicine as a precautionary measure. The department is also planning to take samples of family members of the late leader in order to rule out the presence of highly contagious disease.

After complaint of severe chest infection and pneumonia Tharali MlA, Magan lal Shah was admitted in the Himalayan Hospital at Jolly Grant on February 19. The doctors there put him on ventilator when his condition deteriorated on February 22. On February 25 the 54 year old MlA succumbed to the illness.
