State Cabinet increases Shraddha Nidhi to Rs 7000

The State Cabinet here on Monday has taken a decision to increase Shraddha Nidhi of Senior and veteran Journalists from Rs 6,000 per month to Rs 7,000.

Besides, a decision has been taken to reduce the age limit from 62 years to 60 for Shraddha Nidhi in the meeting. The cabinet has also taken a decision to include non accredited journalists in the insurance scheme and to provide 50 percent of the premium amount by the government.

The Cabinet has taken a decision to implement Horticulture Incentive Scheme for onion and garlic crops. Under the scheme, an incentive amount at the rate of Rs. 400 per quintal for onion and Rs. 800 per quintal will be given. This amount will be deposited directly in the bank account of farmer, keeping in account the verified sowing area and limit of fixed average productivity.

The Cabinet has decided to extend the free bank guarantee period approved by the state government for procurement of gram, red lentil and mustard by the MP State Cooperative Marketing federation and Civil Supplies Corporation from 2 to 6 months under the Price Support Scheme for Rabi year 2017-18.

Moreover, the Cabinet has taken a decision to open an Agriculture College in Khurai Tehsil of Sagar District. The College being opened under the Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University will provide educational facility to 60 students from the academic session of 2018-19. The Cabinet has also approved decision to start Horticulture College at Rahli Tahsil of Sagar District.

The Cabinet has taken a decision to send recommendation to the Governor to transform Gram Panchayat Magrouni of Shivpuri District into Nagar Parishad. In addition to this, the cabinet has given permission to implement Centre sponsored Kishori Balika Yojana being run by the Woman and Child Development Department in all the 51 districts of the state. Moreover, the cabinet has approved expenditure of Rs 209.96 crore needed for implementation of the scheme.

The Cabinet has also given approval for Madhya Pradesh Super Specialty Hospital Medical Teacher Model Service Rule-2018. Along with this, the cabinet has taken a decision to delete Sondhia Caste Entry no. 12 in the list of backward classes and to include Sondhia Rajput also by mentioning it in the status besides registering it separately at the serial no. 93. Besides, the cabinet has decided to delete Khairuwa caste mentioned on serial no. 58 of the backward classes list.

The cabinet has approved the formation of Global Skills Park Committee and Registration under the Madhya Pradesh Firms and Society Act 1973 for establishment, administration and management of Global Skills Park, Bhopal to be established through loan of Asian Development Bank and Madhya Pradesh State’s share under the Madhya Pradesh Skills Development Project.
