The proposed visit of United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi to her parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli on November 2, has been postponed.
Now she is expected to visit her constituency after Diwali.
Sonia Gandhi was slated to attend the meeting of district monitoring and vigilance committee on November 2. For the past seven months, she has not visited Rae Bareli due to poor health. Sonia Gandhi last visited her constituency on April 17 along with her son, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. They had stayed at the night at Bhua Mau guest house and attended the meeting of district monitoring and vigilance committee the next day.
Gandhi’s representative KL Sharma confirmed that Sonia Gandhi’s visit had been postponed.
“She will now visit Rae Bareli after Diwali,” he added.
