The Manav Adhikar Suraksha Manch on Monday demanded that the Southern Division RDC resolve the different problems of the Red Cross Hospital for Women and Children and fulfil the demands of students who have been staging a dharna before the MKCG Medical College Hospital gate for 12 days.
The Manch alleged that even if the Red Cross Hospital is under the aegis of the Collector, no steps have been taken by him for providing basic facilities in the hospital. They also pointed out that there are no permanent doctors in the hospital.
Secondly, even if the students of Diploma in Medical laboratory Technology (DMlT) and Diploma in Medical Radiology Therapy (DMRT) are on their dharna pressing for fulfilment of their various demands since 12 days before the MKCG hospital main gate, the college administration has remained indifferent towards the demands.
Their demands include stopping of privatisation, PPP mode schemes and global tendering. The Manch also submitted a memorandum to the RDC regarding the issues.
