An under-trial prisoner booked on charges of murder, clashed with another under-trial jail mate on Sunday in Bilaspur Central Jail which set panics in this high security jail.
At least one under-trial sustained serious injury and reported to be in critical condition after he was rushed to Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, CIMS, Bilaspur.
Superintendent of Police Bilaspur, Arif H. Sheikh informed that one under trial prisoner Ashok, booked under section 302 attacked on another jail-inmate Mohan Murari with a brickbat. Mohan sustained serious injury on head and is admitted to CIMS, where he is under observation.
The prime reason for the clash was yet to be ascertained. The jail authorities have heightened security in and outside jail complex.
