Ram Mandir must come up by any means: BJP

Wednesday, 31 October 2018 | PNS | Haridwar

A day after the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the Ayodhya title suit till January, senior BJP leaders say that Ram Temple construction being a matter of faith, things cannot be allowed to hang fire indefinitely. The long-awaited temple which embodies the faith of the Hindus should come up before the tangle is resolved in the court, they opine.

Quizzed over the Apex Court’s deferment of the crucial hearing of the title suit tangle, the Uttarakhand state BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju said that things cannot be left to hang in the balance for an indefinite period of time. “The Hindus across the land have been waiting for the temple to come up.  It is not that the temple would come up only after the judicial verdict is given on the tangle.

The people want it to come up and their sentiments should be respected,” he said. He hoped that the long wait of the people would end soon.

He, however, hastened to add that they would appeal to the Apex Court to expedite things so that the people’s aspiration is fulfilled at the earliest. “The Ram Mandir must come up on the disputed site at Ayodhya at the earliest and by any means,” the senior BJP leader averred.

Striking a cautious note, the state BJP chief Ajay Bhatt said that the final ruling of the Supreme Court must come at the earliest. “We believe that the confusion over the matter would clear soon.

The people have been impatiently looking up to the Apex Court ruling to arrive,” he said.

He, however, declined to comment on the Supreme Court’s decision to adjourn the hearing of the long-dragging title suit till January next. “I cannot comment on it,” he said, when asked for reaction.
