Protesting attempt to murder of a lawyer in Shahjehanbad late in the evening on Thursday lawyers at the district court went on indefinite strike in the afternoon on Friday. The victim Mohammad Safeer Khan who is a lawyer was hit near Shaheed Gate by a car bearing registration number MPO4CU7123 while on his way to home on his scooter at around 8 pm on Thursday. President Bhopal District Bar Association Rajesh Vyas held a meeting in which it was decided that they would protest the attack by shunning work. SHO Shahjehanbad police Upendra Chari said that the victim has been hit by car which was seized but the accused are yet to be nabbed. In the initial investigation it was found that the victim who is a tenant in Hamza’s house is fighting out a legal battle over vacating the house for long and the attack is assumed to be fuelled over the long enmity between the two but it could be ascertained after Hamza is arrested. A case under section 307 of the IPC was registered against Hamza Ansari and his aide.
