Daltonganj police cracked a case of theft committed in a drinking water plant in Hamidganj on Wednesday. According to SP, Palamu, Indrajeet Mahatha a theft worth Rs 7 lakh was committed in the JPS water plant in Hamidganj on May 14.
One Abhishek Singh filed the FIR on May 15 and an ‘SIT’ was set up to crack this case which on May 30 cracked the case. According to SP as the FIR had no name of any accused the police scanned JPS water plant employees and one Monu Dubey working in this plant was kept under watch and with tech cell of police finally rounded up who confessed his involvement in this multi lakh theft. Police recovered Rs 1.77 lakh cash hidden in Dubey’s pillow. Police got another Rs 14,000 from his pocket. Dubey revealed the names of other accomplices like Sikender Sharma, Pankaj Pandey, Shubham Chandravanshi and Sherualis love. Police nabbed Sikender, Pankaj and Shubham and recovered Rs 50,000, Rs 80,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. Police recovered Rs 80,000 from Pankaj Pandey’s truck where this stolen money was kept. love is at large. The SP said out of stolen Rs 7 of rupees police have so far recovered Rs 3 lakh and 88 thousand. Except love all the four have been remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday May 30.
