Shahjehanabad police have booked two miscreants for looting a mobile phone from a Jabalpur based youth worth Rs 11990 in the month of June near Marghatiya temple by two miscreants; a case was lodged by police on Friday.
Police said that a 28-year-old man was robbed of his mobile phone by two miscreants near Shahjehanabad police station area on June 16, 2018 when he was near Marghatiya temple and talking over mobile phone.
The victim Gopal Parshar approached Shahjehanabad police and lodged complaint and when he was asked regarding the bill of the mobile phone he said that he will bring the bill tomorrow and returned Jabalpur. The victim later lodged complaint over CM helpline and based on the complaint a case was registered on Friday.
The victim came to the city to participate in protest and later he was robbed by two scooter borne miscreants.
The police have registered a case under Section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, Gandhi Nagar police have nabbed a 29-year-old man involved in transporting country made liquor illegally at New Basti area under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Friday; police recovered 312 bottles of liquor worth Rs 20000 from his possession.
Police said that acting off a man was nabbed from New Basti area and when he was searched 312 bottles were recovered from his possession.
In the initial investigation when the accused was questioned regarding the country made liquor he was not able to provide license of the country made liquor.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 34 (2) Excise Act and started further investigation.
