Operations against Maoists will intensify: DGP

Operation against Maoists in Burha Pahar will be intensified and there will be an all out effort to hold, clear and secure this Pahar said state Director General of Police D K Pandey here on Friday.

The DGP said, “There would be setting up of camps here in and around this Burha Pahar work for which is underway. The approach road to this pahar would be strengthened and further controlled.”

As this pahar stretches from Bareysarn in Jharkhand’s latehar district to Chhatisgarh and at Chhatisgarh end the Maoists make plans for aberrations in Jharkhand it is highly required that Chhatisgarh counterpart of us clamp them down there with most fierce of power.

Two locations of Chhatisgarh Peepardah and Pundag still continue to be the rendezvous of the Maoists and this has to be dismantled there. The DGP said that Jharkhand police will seek more and more co operation from the Chhatisgarh.

“Families living atop Burha Pahar have been brought down at Madgari in Garhwa district where our people are taking utmost care of them and these families there are near adjustment to this new surrounding of peace and development’’ said DGP.  DIG Palamu Vipul Shukla and SP Garhwa Shivani Tiwary frequent this camp of the families of Burha Pahar at Madgari.

The Maoists too had their brush with death recently when in the first encounter police lost 6 cops the Maoists too lost three of them. In the second encounter that erupted on the evening of June 27 the Maoist lost one more whose body the police recovered and his Insas rifle was seized This killed Maoist was a very active cadre and was to Madgari camp just three or four days before this explosion triggered by Maoists where are put up families of Burha Pahar goading these families to return to their old houses on pahar.

The DGP said police are planning to seize the property of two notorious Maoists Navin and Chhotu Kharwar. The kin of these two hard core Maoists too will face the seizure of their illegal wealth that they have so amassed over the years courtesy their men in outlawed uniform!

DGP showing a great olive to these hostile forces again reiterated that the new and the latest surrender policy is too wide open to the Maoists and it is up to them to make the best and fast use of it before it gets  too late for them to even repent as security forces will by all means neutralize them one day or the other.
