The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) hogged the limelight at the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) PSE Excellence Awards 2017 by securing three awards in ‘Operational Performance Excellence’, ‘Contribution of Women in PSEs’ and ‘Corporate Governance’ categories. The GGM (HR) and director designate (HR) Alka Mittal received the awards on behalf of ONGC from Ajay Dua, former secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The ONGC received the awards in the Maharatna category.
The PSE Excellence Awards have been instituted by Indian Chamber of Commerce in association with Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India to recognise excellence in public sector undertakings. An independent jury decided on the awards through a rigorous and transparent process. The evaluation framework was designed by a panel of eminent jury members who deliberated and decided on the winners in each category based on an organisation’s performance on pre-decided criteria.
