No dearth of sports talent in State: CM

There is no shortage of sports talent in Jharkhand. ‘Kamal Club’ has been formed at the block and district level through which about 400 tribal children are being trained, said Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

He was speaking on the concluding ceremony of National conclave of Krida Bharti at Nawadih in Dhanbad on Sunday.  

Das said a talent form of Krida Bharati has been emerging in front of the masses which can give ultimate glory to the sports. “The Prime Minister is providing the opportunity to showcase the talents of the players by providing the platform through the games, which is to promote sports and sports of the youth of the university with the school children,” added the CM.

Speaking on the occasion the CM announced a grant of Rs 3 lakh from Vivekanadan fund to Pramod Patel and Garima Chaudhary whom rushed here to show Yoga from Madhya Pradesh.

Welcoming RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on the land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Das said, this massive conference and the grand programme will give a strong boost to sports in the State.

About 4400 Panchayats across the state will get playgrounds very soon, so that the players from rural areas can be trained, he said.

“Football tournaments for boys and girls regularly were organised in the rural parts across the State, this year about 1,36,446 players participated in which 31,998 were girls players,” added CM.  

This year, we are organising National level school games federation of four sports includes hockey, football, Archery and Wush scheduled to be held from 10 to 13 January 2019.

The CM also announced that with an estimated expenditure of Rs 4 crore Navadih Stadium would be renovated.

“State Government is going to open the Centre of Excellence in Archery, Hockey and Athletics Games at Ranchi and Deoghar where children from the age group of 16 to 22 years would be trained. At least 32 players will be trained in each centre,” added CM.

Speaking on the occasion Mohan Bhagwat said that people should encourage their children to play together. The game does not ask caste and religion from any children.

The children must play collectively with unity which will further strengthen the collective power and give a boost in welfare of the country, he said.
