NITR institutes Prof Paul Memorial Award

With the support of family members of late Professor Amrit Kumar Paul, the Dean office (Alumni Relation and Resource Generation) of the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NITR), has instituted a memorial award, to be given to the best research scholar of the institute in the name of Prof Paul.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a medallion.

Paul, who had completed Engineering from the Jadavpur University and M Tech from the IIT Kharagpur, had served as head of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the NITR. The award will be named as ‘Prof Amrit Kumar Paul Memorial Award’ for which a corpus fund has been created with the contributions from the family of Paul.
